Just Balance with Brittany: Balancing Loss
Hi Triple B's-
Thanks for continuing on this balance journey with me. Last week I was able to talk about work life balance, which I am definitely reframing for myself. Coming off of this conversation of work life balance, life started life-ing. This week, I find myself in a very vulnerable space thinking about how I am balancing loss/grief of someone, something, relationships, security, safety, etc.
I think people think about loss around just a person-I'm finding that's not true at all. Losing a job, losing a friendship that you're invested in, losing your sense of self are all types of loss that are worth exploring because folks experience them everyday.
As I enter into this holiday season, I am really working through how I think about balancing loss and how I'm navigating this space- I can't get stuck in the loss, I've got to figure out how to move forward. The beautiful thing about loss is that while the emotions and feelings may not go away, the lessons that turn into treasures are with us for a lifetime.
